Making your own website

PIN

Recently i have been doing lots of website building stuff with php, mysql, javascript,CSS and of course HTML. it takes lotsa hard work and loads of burning nights to make your own website from scratch. You can do it two ways :- Use templates and off you go making a clean website with a glossy look(like this blog). Otherwise start from witting <html> and continuously writing 500-1000 lines of code every day.

So it depends totally on one’s interest how he/she wants it to do. Things you need for a website :-

1. Some Web space to store files, commonly people call it as a server. Believe me to start with you can go for a minimum of 50MB space and 1GB data transfer limit. It is more like buying a open space before you build your own house and convert it to home.

2. You need a domain just like http://realin.co.in to let people know how they are going to visit your site. This process is similar to registering the land you bought with the government office and giving it a name or number.

3. Designing- This part is time consuming and is the most difficult part, if you follow my second advice making your own website at your own. This part is like designing/constructing your dream home.

And Vola !! you are done…

Now those who are still sticking with me, reading this article/blog, for them i would like to mention that web space these days are fairly cheap, they are not at all costly like earlier times. I myself sold 20MB webspace for 10,000 INR. 😛

you will get 50MB space for mere 1000 INR and full access with cpanel, on linux server. I prefer linux server because its secure, easy to use with php, mysql etc.

Domain is for just 349/- INR and you can choose whatever you like.

Designing part is at your own, if you want to build yourself, its all free for you, but if you want to hire someone like me (freelancer) then you have to loosen your pocket a bit.

So my best recommendation is :-

50MB linux webspace

Domain name

php,mysql,javascript,CSS,html knowledge

This is very very convenient for guys like me who are always short on the $$$$’s.
